By YourMountainBroker.com

Summit County, Colorado is getting a new hospital! For people looking at mountain retirement or change of lifestyle, here is one more benefit to living in Summit County. A new state-of-the-art medical facility will be at your beck & call right here in Summit County! It’s a practical advantage for retirees as well as families.

Summit County's newest hospital will be located on the southwestern edge of the Summit County Commons in Frisco. The impressive steel-beam profile of Summit County's hospital is leaving less to the imagination and more to reality.

The reality is that since its June 17, 2004 groundbreaking, the new Summit County hospital, approved by St. Anthony/Centura Health, is growing out of its planning stages and taking shape.

Tom Willson, of M.A. Mortensen Company states, "We're still on schedule for a December 2005 opening." It is projected that the Summit County hospital construction should be complete in mid-November (2005).

When the new St. Anthony Medical Center doors open, Summit County residents and visitors will have access to a 25-bed facility complete with maternity ward, a 16-room state-of-the-art emergency department, an ICU, a few operating rooms, radiology/imaging services, cafeteria, chapel, and helipad.

Next to the Summit County hospital, a new ambulatory surgery center and medical office building is planned to open, which will allow same-day procedures to be done by local physicians. These Summit County physicians will be able to have their offices in this same facility to make it convenient for patient visits and follow-ups.

St. Anthony has served Colorado for over 100 years and is a national standard in the full-service health care industry. Rest assured that you will be under the best care, should you ever need to visit this facility.
